Policies 

Pre-Wedding Trials

I highly recommend scheduling an appointment for a trial makeup before your wedding, so you know what to expect on your special day, but trials are not required.
The trial fee is payable on the date of your trial makeup, after services are rendered.

Save the Date/Reservation

A signed contract and a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date and time with Makeup Artist Linda R. The deposit amount is 50% of the total balance.

All bookings are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Scheduling a trial doesn’t guarantee the date.


However, when a trial date is scheduled, your wedding date will be soft-reserved for you. After the trial, let me know your booking decision. Your wedding date will be held for a maximum of one week.

The Final Payment

The remaining balance is due one week before your event, or on the day of the event, if payed by cash or credit card. If you booked me within a few days from your event, then the total payment will be due at the time of booking. 
Advanced payment eliminates the need to handle payments on your busy day.

Travel

A travel fee of $1/mile will be incurred (round trip) when Makeup Artist Linda R. must drive 25 miles or further from her respective location in order to meet you on your wedding day.


If the event has a driving time of 1.5 hours or longer from San Jose, CA, and requires Makeup Artist Linda R. to setup and start services by/before 7:00 AM, then client must provide hotel accommodation for the day before the event, in addition to the travel/mileage fee.


A vendor meal is required when working a full day/touch up service.


Travel costs may include but are not limited to: Airfare, hotel, transportation, toll bridges, valet parking, parking lots and garages, and parking meters. All costs for travel for booked event are to be paid by the client.

Other Fees

Holidays: There is an additional fee of $50 for events booked on New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve.


Early Call Times: Early Call Time fee of $100 applied before 6AM, $50 before 8AM.


Rates/Payments:

Rates are subject to change without notice. However, quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they were given.

Gratuity is not required but is greatly appreciated if you feel that I did an exceptional job.

I accept cash, PayPal and Venmo transfers, and credit/debit cards. Credit card payments will have a 3% transaction fee.

All prices are in US dollars.

Cancellation/Postponement

If the client cancels the contract 60 days or more prior to the event date, then the deposit paid by the client is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

If the client cancels the contract 60 days or less from the event date, then the client is responsible for full payment for services booked. I must receive full payment for cancelled services (minus travel and/or parking fees) within 14 days of cancellation.

If for any reason the event is postponed by the client, then I cannot guarantee my availability for the new event date, and the deposit is not refundable.


In the very rare instance that Makeup Artist Linda R. cannot do the event after the contract has been signed (due to an emergency, serious illness), then 100% of the deposit paid will be refunded by check within 14 business days from the date of cancellation.

Client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit, as a result of Makeup Artist Linda R.'s cancellation, is her only liability.

Punctual Event Day/Appointment Times

Makeup Artist Linda R. will work with the bride or coordinator on a timeline, which shows the appointment time for each client receiving services. Each service requires a certain length of time to be finished and is not to exceed the time limit. When reserving your event date, please book accordingly.


Makeup Artist Linda R. will not be responsible for late clients. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order to not break the contract.

All services for more than one person must be done at the same location and consecutively (no time gaps in between).

Any additional makeup needs outside the contract will be performed at the discretion of Makeup Artist Linda R.


All party members should arrive to their appointment with a clean face (no makeup on), groomed eyebrows for the best results, unless otherwise instructed.


If any person listed on the contract decides not to receive services for any reason once the contract has been signed, then the client is still responsible for full payment of the person that cancelled. However, client may substitute another person in place of the person who cancelled.

Service Location Requirements

Location of services for the day of the event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements that Makeup Artist Linda R. needs in order to complete her service.
A safe/non-hazardous location with a "set up" table/work area, chairs, and proximity to an electrical outlet are necessary for services to be performed properly.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Makeup will be completed to the client's satisfaction, but is not to exceed the allotted time provided in the timeline. Ample time is scheduled for each service upon booking.
Acceptance of completed makeup by client is acknowledgement by client that the service is done to his/her satisfaction.

Release of Liability

All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are cleaned between each client. Makeup products used are hypoallergenic.
Any skin condition should be reported to Makeup Artist Linda R. prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the client's skin to test for reaction.
Makeup Artist Linda R. will not be responsible for allergic reactions resulting from the use of makeup products or tools.

Use of Image

By signing a contract, you give permission for Makeup Artist Linda R. to use your (and those listed on your contract) image in her advertising and marketing promotions (digital, print, etc.) without compensation to you, nor to those for whom services were provided.
